It's only February but we are already starting to ramp up the excitement for #BlogHer16, which will be held in Los Angeles this August 4-6.
The BlogHer Events and Social Media Teams have big plans to spend the next few months giving you tips, sneak peeks, and helpful local information that will help you make the most of #BlogHer16, starting with a look at our host hotel: the absolutely gorgeous and luxurious JW Marriott.
We spent a couple of days last month investigating every nook and cranny of this amazing hotel, and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome all of you to such a beautiful place for learning, networking, and having fun.
The hotel is located right in the middle of the bustling L.A. Live entertainment district, which is the home of Staples Center, the Nokia Theatre, and lots of things to keep you busy in your off-conference time. More about L.A. Live in a future post.
There are coffee shops, a grocery store, and a big-box department store beyond the L.A. Live area, just a short (within ten minutes) walk away.
The JW Marriott has an enormous, colorful lobby with lots of windows that let the sunshine in, which means that meeting up with friends in one of the many plush seating areas is a bright and happy experience.
In the lobby you can choose from a couple of lounges and restaurants right on the property when you're thirsty or hungry.

If you're trying to keep your workout routine on track while you're onsite, a fitness center is available, and there's also a rooftop pool that looks like it was grabbed from a movie scene.

Are you less about doing laps than just hanging out poolside? No problem. The pool area has tons of places to sit and lay down, and you can even challenge a friend to a game of Connect Four.

If getting some self-care at the full-service spa is more your style, you can choose from an enormous list of amenities that makes me want to beam myself there right now: massages, body wraps, facials, manicures/pedicures, and lots more!
Oh, and the rooms? My goodness. I could move into the JW Marriott at LA Live and be very happy. The rooms are spacious and decorated in a calming color palette that is perfect for quieting your brain when you need to take a break from all of the activity. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the linens are luxurious enough to make you feel a little like a celebrity.
